Dr. Hutz Hertzberg

Hutz brings vast ministry experience to the Board of Hope in Truth, across a wide array of positions. He was the president of Christian Heritage Academy (CHA), Northfield, Illinois, from July 2017 to July 2021. Previously, Hutz served as President of Christian Union, based in Princeton, New Jersey, where he gave leadership to the organization's mission of developing transformative Christian leaders at some of America's most strategic universities (Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford and others).

Hutz has also had pastoral experience and served for seven years as executive pastor of the historic Moody Church in downtown Chicago. He also served as the first Executive Director of The Orchard Network, a Chicago area organization committed to developing next generation pastors and lay leaders for gospel-centered leadership. Hutz has also served as the Associate Director of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for Chicagoland.

For twenty years Dr. Hertzberg served as Chaplain in the United States Naval Reserve serving mostly with the United States Marine Corps. He continues to serve as the senior protestant Chaplain at Chicago O'Hare and Midway airports giving leadership to a team of chaplains and overseeing multiple weekly chapel services at these airports.

Hutz is a long time Chicago area resident. He is married to Lynne and they have one school-aged daughter. The Hertzbergs reside in Illinois, USA.
